About

About MyCalcKit

MyCalcKit is an independent, free calculator site covering personal finance, health, and everyday math for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and a growing list of other countries. We built it because most calculator sites bury a simple tool under pop-ups, sign-ups, stale numbers, or only cover one country.

Who publishes MyCalcKit

MyCalcKit is built and maintained by Arpit Chauhan, an independent publisher. Content is researched, written, and technically implemented directly by the site's maintainer, with each tax bracket, contribution limit, and rate figure checked against the relevant government source before publishing — rather than produced by a large in-house editorial staff. We use "MyCalcKit Editorial Team" as the byline across the site to reflect this editorial process and standard, not a claim of a large newsroom.

Our editorial policy

  • Sourcing: every tax, salary, and rate figure is sourced from an official body — the IRS, HMRC, CRA, ATO, GOV.UK, a national statistics office, or the equivalent authority for the country in question — not copied from another calculator or blog site.
  • Verification before publishing: before any calculator or blog post covering tax brackets, immigration rules, or other time-sensitive figures is published or updated, the underlying numbers are checked against current official sources rather than assumed to still be correct.
  • Freshness labeling: every calculator and blog post displays a "Last updated" date, so you always know how current the figures you're looking at are — we don't hide or omit this.
  • Corrections: if a figure changes or we find an error, we correct it as soon as we're aware — report an error here and we'll review it.
  • No pay-for-placement: calculator methodology and rankings are never influenced by advertisers. Ads are clearly separated from calculator content and never presented as editorial recommendations.

What we don't do

We don't require sign-up, store your inputs, or sell your data. Every calculation runs locally in your browser.
